He explores self confidence and how it is not just the most important skill in athletics, but in our lives.

Nobody was born with limitless self confidence.  Self confidence is something you build up over time with diverse life challenges.  We need to take charge and practice self confidence.

Simply liking yourself, and having a positive opinion of your abilities and behavior is essential for your well-being.  You may have been criticizing yourself for years and it really hasn't worked.  If you don't approve of yourself, then where are you likely to get that self-fulfilling approval?  The biggest factor in determining your success is frequently your level of self-confidence.  Some of the worst criticism comes for our hard-hitting, inner critic. You know that voice that makes you feel like you can't achieve your goals.

The good news is that you can develop self-confidence with a positive attitude.  You can learn to deal with negative emotions by practicing greater self-care.   Meeting challenges and taking risk can further improve your self-confidence.
